About this lamp
This is an Original Inside lamp for the Hitachi CP-AX2505, replacing Hitachi part DT01511. Inside is a genuine original bulb – the part that produces the light – fitted in a new, precision-made housing. You get the brightness, colour and lamp life of the original lamp at a lower price, and it slides straight into the lamp bay with no rewiring.
Original Inside or Compatible?
Original Inside is the choice if you want genuine original bulb performance, and it comes with a 180-day warranty. If you'd rather spend less, our compatible lamp for the Hitachi CP-AX2505 uses a quality third-party bulb in a new housing, built to match the original specification, with a 120-day warranty. If you need the original part, we also sell the genuine Hitachi lamp for the Hitachi CP-AX2505, with a 90-day warranty.
When to replace the lamp
Most projectors warn you when the lamp is near the end of its life: a lamp replacement message appears when you switch on, and the lamp indicator may light or flash. Before that, most people notice the picture getting dimmer or colours looking washed out. If the projector won't light at all, the lamp has usually failed.
How to fit it
Switch the projector off, unplug it and let it cool for at least 45 minutes. Remove the lamp cover, loosen the screws holding the old lamp and lift it out by the handle. Push the new lamp firmly into place, tighten the screws and refit the cover securely – most projectors won't power on if the lamp cover isn't closed properly. Finally, reset the lamp timer from the projector's menu so it stops showing the replacement warning (your user manual shows the exact steps for your model).

How do I know this is the right lamp? Check the model name on your projector, or the part number on the old lamp – if it shows DT01511, or any of the part numbers listed above, this lamp fits. If you're still not sure, contact our sales team and we'll confirm the right lamp for you.

What if there's a problem? This Original Inside lamp has a 180-day no-quibble warranty: if there's a problem in that time, we'll replace it.

- Compatible – This means a compatible bulb (3rd party) inside a compatible housing (3rd party).
