How to find your Sony lamp
Sony lamp codes start with LMP, for example LMP-E212 for business models or LMP-H201 for home cinema. You'll find the code on the old lamp housing or in your projector's manual. Genuine, Original Inside or compatible?
A genuine Sony lamp is Sony's own lamp and housing, exactly as supplied with your projector. A VIVID Original Inside lamp uses the original manufacturer's bulb in a new housing, giving original brightness and colour for less. When does a Sony lamp need replacing?
A dimmer or yellowing picture, flickering, a lamp warning light or an on-screen message saying the lamp has reached the end of its life are the usual signs.
