Replacement Projector Lamps

Lamps Direct specialises in replacement projector lamps, with lamps for thousands of projector models from every major brand, including discontinued models that are hard to find elsewhere. Choose a genuine lamp, a VIVID Original Inside lamp or a Teklamps compatible lamp. Every lamp is held in UK stock with free delivery and our price match promise.

How to find the right lamp

The quickest way is to type your projector model, such as Epson EB-570 or Optoma HD146X, into the search bar at the top of the page. If you have the old lamp to hand, its lamp code or part number is printed on the housing, and searching by that code works too. You can also browse by brand using the links below. Many lamp codes fit several projectors, so if you know the code you can order with confidence.

Genuine, Original Inside or compatible?

A genuine lamp is the projector maker's own lamp and housing, exactly as supplied with your projector. A VIVID Original Inside lamp uses the original manufacturer's bulb in a new housing, giving original brightness and colour for less. A Teklamps compatible lamp is our best-value choice, tested to match original brightness and lamp life, with a direct-fit housing for easy installation.

When does a projector lamp need replacing?

A dimmer or yellowing picture, flickering, a lamp warning light or an on-screen message saying the lamp has reached the end of its life are the usual signs. After fitting your new lamp, reset the lamp timer in the projector's menu so the next warning appears at the right time. Our guide on signs your projector lamp needs replacing has more detail.

Projector filters and remotes

A clogged air filter makes your projector run hot and shortens lamp life, so it's worth swapping the filter at the same time as the lamp. Browse our projector filters and replacement remote controls.

Projector lamp FAQs

Will a compatible lamp fit my projector?
Yes. Each Teklamps compatible lamp comes in a complete housing made for the projector models listed on its page, so it fits and connects just like the original.

How long does a projector lamp last?
It depends on the projector, but most lamps are rated for a few thousand hours, and running in eco mode usually extends that. The rated life for each lamp is shown on its product page.

Do I need to reset the lamp timer?
Yes. Most projectors count lamp hours, so reset the timer in the projector's menu after fitting your new lamp. Your projector's manual explains how.

What if I can't find my projector model?
Contact our team with your projector model or the code from your old lamp and we'll find the right lamp for you, including for older and discontinued models.
